Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. Your password is stored as a one-way hash. We never store or have access to it in plain text. We also store the messages, files, and voice notes you send, along with basic account activity such as when your account was created or last active.
How we use it
We use this information to operate the messaging service: to deliver your messages in real time, keep your conversation history available when you sign back in, and enforce our Terms of Service.
Who can see it
The other person in a conversation can see what you send them. Conversations can be accessed for moderation purposes, for example to investigate a report of abuse, and every such action is recorded in an audit log, so access is never silent.
Files and voice notes
Attachments are never given a public link. Every time a file or voice note is requested, we check that the person requesting it is actually part of that conversation.
Data retention
We keep your account and conversation history for as long as your account remains active. If you believe your account or data should be removed, get in touch.
